Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year!  I am excited to embark on another year of new adventures and learning at Humboldt.  On this website you will find information about the daily classroom activities and meet the amazing staff!

An Introduction...

Teaching Staff:

Sarah Zielinski is starting her 5th year teaching at Humboldt.  She graduated from Minnesota State University - Mankato with a B.S. in Elementary Education and Middle School Science.  She went on to get her M.A. degree in Developmental Disabilities from the University of St. Thomas.  Her favorite thing about teaching is helping students learn and grow on their journey from adolesecents to young adults.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, running, baking, watching "The Office" on T.V., and coaching figure skating.

Paraprofessional Staff:

Adam Tebbutt is our veteran staff member!  He has been working at Humboldt for over 17 years.  What Adam enjoys most about working in special education is when a student finally gets it and you can "see the light turn on".  In his free time Adam enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys, playing sports; including hockey, softball, and golf, hunting, fishing, and barbecuing on his back patio at home.

Deb Brantingham is beginning her 6th year working at Humboldt.  Deb

was an elementary teacher before she had children.  What she likes most about Humboldt is that it fosters a smaller, more close-knit learning environment.  She enjoys working in special education because it is very rewarding and her personality is well suited for the job.  In her free time she enjoys playing with her puppies, reading, doing sudokus, going out to dinner with her husband, spending time with her mother, and text messaging her sons!

Mark El-Dweek is starting his first year at Humboldt.  Mark has a degree in secondary social studies education.  What Mark enjoys most about working in special education is getting to know students and teaching them important life skills.  In his free time, he enjoys reading and thinking about travel!
